Work Injury
Our comprehensive industrial rehabilitation program and work injury treats acute and chronic conditions resulting from any work-related injury. Our goal is twofold: to return the injured worker back to work through individualized work-related injury therapy, and to assist case managers, adjustors and risk/safety managers in reducing lost days.
In addition to work injury therapy, we also perform Functional Capacity Evaluations, Post Offer Screens, Return to Work Evaluations and Impairment Ratings - all solutions to help minimize the increasing costs of workers compensation.
Work Conditioning
If an injury has impeded your performance in the workplace, our work hardening/conditioning program provides an aggressive yet cautious approach to getting you back to work quickly and at an optimum performance level.
Your care begins with a comprehensive evaluation of functional limitations and areas of pain. Our team of expert physical therapists will design a treatment plan based on your work-related needs and goals. This includes real or simulated work activities specific to your job, such as lifting, climbing or keyboarding.
We take a team approach and will consult with your employer and case manager, if necessary. Throughout your treatment, we will work hard to help you return to all normal functional activities. When you are ready for discharge, you will receive a personalized home exercise program to allow you to stay healthy on the job, further enhance your rehabilitation outcome and prevent the possibility of re-injury.
Return to Work Evaluations
The Return to Work Evaluation is a modified Functional Capacity Evaluation. It is shorter in length and streamlined to the patient's specific job description and requirements. The information obtained is used to determine if the patient is physically able to return to work and perform his or her job safely and without complication.
Functional Capacity Evaluations
The Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is a comprehensive assessment of a client's overall functional abilities. The evaluation measures range of motion, strength, endurance and tolerance to work-related tasks.
This comprehensive assessment is an effective tool that allows us to determine your ability to fulfill your required job duties, whether it be typing on a keyboard or lifting heavy boxes.
The data gathered from the FCE also allows us to establish a baseline of your functional level and compare it to your specific job description. We can then develop an effective therapy program, a timeline for your safe return to work and parameters to prevent re-injury.
Post Offer Screen
The post-offer screen evaluation is designed with input from the employer to determine if a candidate for employment is physically able to perform the requirements of the job. This information allows the employer to place candidates in the most physically appropriate job while minimizing the potential for injury.
